About Us

The history of Deanprint can be traced back to the year 1871 and the establishment of a travel agency – Dean and Dawson - in Stockport.

Joseph Dean, one of the founders of the agency, eventually recognised the potential of having a printing company that would take care of the print requirements of the travel business.  This led him, in 1890, to establish the company that still bears his name to the present day.

The travel company was later to be acquired by Thomas Cook.  Thirty years later in 1920, the foundations were laid for the present factory in Cheadle Heath now situated just 50 metres from Junction 2 of the M60 motorway.

Since those early days, Deanprint has developed into a company producing a comprehensive range of printed products, including books, binders and stationery items.
