Two New Praleg Casing-In Machines
Updating and Upgrading our Casing-In Machines
In a world were high volume production of low cost paper back books is being replaced by electronic books we are seeing a growing demand for high quality cased in books. Deanprint are investing in new casing-in machines to meet this demand and offer clients the quality and value that they have come to expect from us. Last month we took delivery of these two new casing-in machines. They are both upgrades on our previous two and streamline the production of larger cased-in books. The machines were manufactured by Schmedt in Germany and supplied by Neenah Red Bridge. We are delighted with the machines. This continues our ongoing investment plan, following on from the two new guillotines we bought earlier this year.
The Präleg is a casing in machine controlled by a microprocessor, it is specifically designed for short run and one off titles as well as series production in industrial binderies. It can cope easily with varying size books with low set up and clean down times. Read more here. Or visit Schmedt’s website.
