NEW MBO Combi Folding Machine Arrives!

Last month we took delivery of the country’s first fully automated MBO K80 folding machine from Friedheim International as part our ongoing drive to improve efficiency.  This has been bought to replace our Shoei SPK 74 – although we are keeping this as a second / backup machine.  The K80 has an increased number of folding stations which means we can at least double our previous output.

The K80 is a B1 combination folder with cross-fold and three-fold capabilities, running at speeds up to 230 per minute.  The slitter shaft can be quickly removed and re-installed to aid both parallel folding and three-fold, contributing to a reduction in setup time of up to 60%.
